These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StudyBuddy app and related services we provide.

By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About the App

StudyBuddy is an AI-powered study assistant that helps users solve homework, create flashcards, organize study materials, and learn more effectively.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or use the App with permission from a parent or legal guardian where required.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You may sign in with Google or with email and password. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activities performed through your account.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload, including questions, images, notes, chats, and flashcards. You grant us permission to process and store your content only to provide the App's features, including AI responses and optional cloud backup.

5. AI Features

The App uses AI (including Google Gemini through our servers). AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be verified before relying on them for exams, assignments, or important decisions.

6. Acceptable Use

Use the App only for lawful purposes.
Do not upload illegal or harmful content.
Do not attempt to abuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App or its services.

7. Suspension & Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the App. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses services such as Google Sign-In (when you choose Google authentication), Firebase, Google ML Kit, Google Play services, and Google Gemini. Their own terms and privacy policies also apply.

9. Disclaimer & Liability

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages resulting from your use of the App or AI-generated content.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes & Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.
